One bright spot for Oakland was a single by Haleigh Ellinger in the fourth inning.
Golliver led things off on the hill for the Stars. She allowed five hits and zero runs over nine innings, striking out 19 and walking one.
Ward got the start for Oakland. She lasted eight and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out ten.
Presley Leebrick led Siegel with three hits in four at bats. The Stars were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Hannah Milhorn made the most plays with 19.
