Siegel snagged a late lead and defeated Blackman 4-3 on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with the Stars batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Siegel.
Blackman fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Blackman.
In the top of the fifth inning, Blackman tied things up at three. Sophie Golliver’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Blackman.
Golliver led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Siegel. She surrendered three runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out 12.
Caitlyn Manus was on the rubber for Blackman. She lasted four innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out four. Karly Donaldson threw two innings in relief.
Vanessa Westfall went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Stars in hits.
Sydney Dodd led Blackman with two hits in two at bats.
