Matt McCurry was bad news for opposing pitchers on Wednesday, driving in six on three hits to lead Siegel past Stewarts Creek 13-10 on Wednesday. McCurry drove in runs on a double in the first, a double in the fourth, and a double in the fifth.
Siegel earned the victory despite allowing Stewarts Creek to score six runs in the seventh inning. Stewarts Creek’s big inning was driven by a single by Mac Curtis, a home run by Brandon Rooney, and by Chase Vondohlen.
Stewarts Creek got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run for Stewarts Creek.
Siegel tallied four runs in the fifth inning. Zac Pearson and McCurry all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Garrett Harvey got the start for the Stars. He allowed nine hits and six runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out six.
