Siegel Softball stayed in it until the end, but Lincoln County pulled away late in an 8-6 victory on Monday. The game was tied at six with Lincoln County batting in the top of the seventh when Lydia Johnsey singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Siegel collected five hits and Lincoln County had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

Siegel scored three runs in the second inning. Westfall and Caitlyn McCrary all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Heidi Durham was in the circle for Lincoln County. She allowed five hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out two.
Sophie Golliver was on the rubber for Siegel. She went seven innings, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and striking out six.
The Stars scattered five hits in the game. Presley Leebrick and Westfall all collected multiple hits for Siegel Stars Softball . Westfall and Leebrick all had two hits to lead Siegel.
Lincoln County racked up 11 hits. Bryant, Johnsey, and Sara Koonce all had multiple hits for Lincoln County. Bryant led Lincoln County with four hits in four at bats.
