Multiple Teams · Siegel Wins First Tennessee All Sports Trophy

Three out the last five years Siegel Athletics has earned the First Tennessee All Sports Trophy presented by the Daily News Journal and no other Rutherford County school has earned the trophy more than once.

A school earns points based on where they place in the regular season district standings.  For example, in a seven team district, a team that finishes 1st in the district will earn 7 points and a team that finishes 7th will earn 1 point for their school.  Five bonus points are given if a team makes the state tournament or play-offs in football.  Ten bonus points are given if a team wins the state championship and five points are given to an individual state champion.

Siegel earned 25  points by Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Girls Cross Country, Boys Cross Country and Baseball reaching the TSSAA state tournament.  The Boys Cross Country team and Christian Salter earned an additional 15 points by winning state championships.

The Stars earned 132 points edging out Blackman (130), Oakland (123), Riverdale (114) and Central (102).
