Tuesday’s game against Blackman was a heartbreaker for Siegel, as they lost the lead late in a 6-3 defeat. The game was tied at three with Blackman batting in the bottom of the sixth when Blaze Bell doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring three runs.
Andru Becker led Blackman to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out ten. Christian Sanderson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Michael Romagno took the loss for the Stars. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and four runs while walking one.
Jack Nedrow started the game for Siegel. He allowed five hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking zero
Tucker Moss, Dylan Taylor, Jordan Christmon, Connor Beckham, and Gavin Rodgers all had one hit to lead the Stars. Siegel was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Beckham made the most plays with four.
Blackman collected nine hits. Conner Murphy and Jon Blalock all managed multiple hits for Blackman. Murphy led Blackman with three hits in three at bats. Blackman didn’t commit a single error in the field. David Milam had the most chances in the field with 13.
