Siegel struggled to get their offense going on Wednesday, getting easily dispatched by Blackman, 13-2.
The Stars got on the board in the first inning when Jackson Cauthron grounded out, scoring one run.
Blackman scored four runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for Blackman came thanks to doubles by Frankie Carreras and Andru Becker, a single by Drew Beam, and a fielder’s choice by Blaze Bell.
Justin Schestel earned the win for Blackman. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out eight. Tyler Battle threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jameson Nephew took the loss for Siegel. He went three and a third innings, allowing six runs on one hit and striking out four.
Evan Milligan went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Stars in hits.
Beam led Blackman with two hits in five at bats.
