Boys Varsity Baseball · Siegel Defeats Oakland in Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the hill Wednesday, but Siegel defeated Oakland 3-2. Siegel pitchers allowed just eight hits to Oakland.

Jack Nedrow earned the victory on the mound for Siegel. He went five innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out five and walking one.  Caleb Marks threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  Marks recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Siegel.

Brevin Linnell took the loss for Oakland. He allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three.

Siegel totaled five hits.  Jordan Christmon and Dylan Taylor all collected multiple hits for Siegel.  Taylor and Christmon all had two hits to lead Siegel.

Oakland racked up eight hits on the day.  Dalton Davis and Luke Vinson all had multiple hits for Oakland.  Davis went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Oakland in hits.
