Siegel had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over Riverdale 11-1

In the first inning, Riverdale got their offense started when Lauren Hosford singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Siegel pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning.  In the second Lauren Lee singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Presley Leebrick doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Vanessa Westfall singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and an error scored one run for Siegel.

Sophie Golliver pitched Siegel to victory. She lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out three.  Golliver recorded the last 15 outs to earn the save for Siegel.

Kaylee Hewitt took the loss for Riverdale. She went one and one-third innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out two.

 Becca Komers started the game for Riverdale. She surrendered five runs on seven hits over three innings

Siegel tallied two home runs on the day. Caitlyn McCrary had a four bagger in the third inning. Golliver went deep in the fourth inning.

Siegel tallied 11 hits.  McCrary, Claire Czajkowski, and Leebrick all managed multiple hits for Siegel.  McCrary led Siegel with three hits in three at bats.  Siegel was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Czajkowski had the most chances in the field with five.
