Girls Varsity Softball · Golliver Throws One Hit Shutout Against Cougars, Stars Win 4-0

Sophie Golliver threw a shutout to lead Siegel past Dickson County 4-0 on Tuesday.

Siegel fired up the offense in the second inning, when Hannah Milhorn hit a solo homer.

One bright spot for Dickson County was a double by #1 in the third inning.

Golliver led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Siegel. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over seven innings, striking out seven.

#9 started the game for Dickson County. She surrendered four runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Siegel socked two home runs on the day. Caitlyn McCrary put one out in the fifth inning. Milhorn went yard in the second inning.

Siegel racked up ten hits in the game.  Presley Leebrick, Milhorn, McCrary, and Golliver each racked up multiple hits for Siegel.  Leebrick led Siegel with three hits in four at bats.

#1 went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Dickson County in hits.  Dickson County was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. #0 had the most chances in the field with six.

Siegel will face Springfield tomorrow at 11:30 on McKnight field #1.
