Congratulations to Kyra Hayes and Braden Kaiser on being named Siegel’s Scholar Athletes of the Month for October 2019.

Kyra is a Sophomore on the Cross Country team.  She runs varsity for the Stars and is ranked 39th in Tennessee with a 5k time of 19:19.80.  Her favorite class is Medical Therapeutics.   Kyra has a 3.6 GPA.

Braden is a Sophomore on the Football team.  He is Inside Linebacker for the varsity team. He is proactive, intelligent, and caring.   He plans on getting his undergraduate degree in biology so that he can become a Dermatologist. Braden has a 4.0 GPA.

Athletic Accomplishments: I’ve ran varsity on cross country for five years, my 5k time (19:19.80) has me ranked 39th in TN. Starting Varsity for the whole sophomore season.
Academic Accomplishments: Five of my seven classes are honors or advanced honor. It’s not really that cool but I’ve gotten honor roll for as long as I can remember. Being a student athlete and maintaining my good grades.

Whose Your Toughest Opponent: I suppose at the moment its Megan Roth Myself
What are you working to improve on?: My grades and my running ability To get bigger, faster, smarter for football. To get smarter in school.
What inspires you to keep training and competing? Seeing how good I can get and motivating others on the team I am inspired by my parents work ethic and positivity in all things that they do.
Your Best Sports Memory There’s a lot of them but they all come from when we do team hangouts. I remember once when I was little before I played football, I played soccer. And I made a corner kick on my first ever attempt on doing so.
What are your plans after you graduate from Siegel? Go to college and become either a social worker or a psychologist. I hope to play college football and get my undergrad in biology so one day I can become a dermatologist.
Your Favorite Food? Grilled cheese or mac & cheese. Steak and potatoes
Your Favorite Ice Cream? Chocolate and peanut butter Strawberry or Orange Sherbet
What’s on Your Playlist? A lot of different artists but mainly Khalid and Ariana Grande Generally country music or rap/hip hop that I listen to while working out.
What’s the Most Embarrassing Thing on Your Playlist? Probably the Disney movie music that i like listening to. I don’t have any embarrassing songs on my playlist.
If You had one wish, what would it be? That those who need it could have food, water, and shelter. I wish that everyone would receive the wonderful grace of God.
What most people don’t know about you? Probably that like to read I am a very relaxed and laid back person at first glance, but after you get to know me, you know that I am a very fun and energetic person.
Your Favorite Class? Medical therapeutics My favorite class is probably weight lifting, but as far as academics go it would be Physical Science.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? I don’t have a specific place in mind but i would like to go somewhere where there’s water and really good places to hike. I am not much of a traveling person, but if i could ever travel it would be cool to see the 7 wonders of the world.
Your Hero? I’ve pretty much always looked up to Zendaya. My family and close friends would classify as my heroes.

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would that be? Brandon Farris Probably my two grandpas that I never got to meet
