Siegel ran off with the lead late in the game in a 5-1 victory over Riverdale on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with the Stars batting in the top of the seventh when Braxton Baird drew a walk, scoring one run.
Riverdale knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the sixth inning. Hitson drove in one when he doubled.
Jameson Nephew was credited with the victory for Siegel. He allowed two hits and one run over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 12. Caleb Marks threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Puckett took the loss for Riverdale. He surrendered four runs on one hit over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
Hitson started the game for Riverdale. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out five
Baird, Jackson Cauthron, Evan Milligan, and Tucker Moss each collected one hit to lead Siegel. The Stars didn’t commit a single error in the field. Cauthron had the most chances in the field with ten.
