Siegel wins contest against Stewarts Creek on Tuesday, 5-2
In the first inning, Siegel got their offense started when Dylan Taylor singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Jameson Nephew got the win for the Stars. The pitcher went four innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out two. Caleb Marks threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Marks recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Siegel.
Caleb Peterson took the loss for the Red Hawks. The pitcher lasted five and a third innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out five.
Siegel racked up nine hits in the game. Eli Strayer and Taylor each had multiple hits for the Stars. Taylor and Strayer each managed two hits to lead Siegel. The Stars were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Jackson Cauthron had the most chances in the field with seven.
